These patterns deal with abstractions from the real world that are likely to appear mainly in business and administration software systems, so that solutions to some typical problems in this kind of systems can be found. The first one is the Conversions pattern, useful for handling uniformly anything that can be converted from one scale to another. The second one, Persons and Roles, is presented as a basis for the Documents and Roles pattern, which is the third one. The Documents and Roles pattern gives a general basis for any administrative system.
